The goal of Strengthening Cooperative efforts among Public
Safety and Private Sector Entities is to facilitate an
information sharing, response planning program between private
sector entities and first responders in rural communities
nationwide. This is an eight-hour instructor led course developed
in collaboration with the Global Security and Emergency Response
Teams of the of Wal-Mart Stores Inc., Tyson Foods Inc. and
J.B. Hunt Transportation and Logistics Inc. and a team of
first responders. Topics include, defining Terrorism, assessing
threats and vulnerability to critical infrastructure, information
and resource sharing for business continuity and emergency
response between private sector and public safety. Upon completion
of curriculum development and piloting of the course it will
be deployed to corporations and first responders nationwide,
thus increasing the level of awareness and preparedness and
helping to bridge the gap between the private sector and public
safety agencies.
MGT-381 Business Continuity and Emergency Management (register
for class)
The goal of Business Continuity and Emergency Management
is to facilitate an information sharing, response planning
program between private sector entities and key federal, state
and local shareholders. This is an eight hour instructor led
course developed in collaboration with the Global Security
Directors of the corporations of Wal-Mart Stores Inc., Tyson
Foods Inc. and J.B. Hunt Transportation and Logistics Inc.
The focus is to develop a comprehensive program for private
sector security officials to identify and plug in to key governmental
resources in the areas of disaster recovery, intelligence
sharing, NIMS, and other areas of emergency management. Curriculum
will rely on the best practices learned by the leaders in
private sector emergency planning and response as well as
government stakeholders. Upon completion of curriculum development
and piloting of the course it will be deployed to corporations
nationwide, thus increasing the planning and resource sharing
between key stakeholders in America’s critical infrastructure.
