ICPS Classes Available:

All training delivered by ICPS is certified by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and is a member of the Rural Domestic Preparedness Consortium (RDPC).  All of our courses are offered tuition-free. There are no fees associated with training. All instructors are trained and certified to teach mentioned courses. Training can be conducted on-site at requested locations.

Current Classes:

    Business Continuity Planning (MGT-381) - DHS certified

This is an eight hour instructor-led course. The focus is to develop a comprehensive program for private sector security officials to identify and plug in to key governmental resources in the areas of disaster recovery, intelligence sharing, NIMS, and other areas of emergency management.  By increasing the planning and resource sharing between key stakeholders in America's critical infrastructure, we hope to create a stronger and more prepared business community. This couse has been certified by the Department of Homeland Security and is currently available for training nationwide.

Please note the TEI Course catalog lists AWR-187 as prerequisite. The AWR-187 course is suggested but not a prerequisite

Emergency Response: Strengthening Cooperative Efforts Among Public Safety and Private Sector Entities (PER-280) - DHS Certified

This is an eight hour instructor-led course. Topics include: defining Terrorism, assessing threats and vulnerability to critical infrastructure, information and resource sharing for business continuity and emergency response between private sector and public safety. By increasing the level of awareness and preparedness, we hope to bridge the gap between the private sector and public safety agencies. This course has been certified by the Department of Homeland Security and is currently available for training nationwide.

Please note the TEI Course catalog lists AWR-187 as prerequisite. The AWR-187 course is suggested but not a prerequisite.

Resource Inventory Management for Rural Communities (MGT-339)

This instructor-led course will provide rural communities with an understanding of the skills and knowledge they need in order to effectively create and maintain a comprehensive resource inventory utilizing resources on a local, county, or multi-county area based on their specific geographic location and situation.

Risk and Vulnerability Management for Rural Communities (MGT-338)

This instructor-led course will provide hazard mitigation planning, whereby potential hazards are identified and assessed in relation to seriousness. Consensus is reached through a collaborative process on how to minimize or eliminate the effects of those hazards on local communities.

Terrorism and WMD Awareness in The Workplace: (AWR-187W) online course - DHS Certified

This 30-minute, Web-based “Terrorism 101” course prepares learners to successfully recognize, report, and react to potential terrorist incidents. In the first two lessons, learners develop a broad understanding of terrorism, including a definition of terrorism as well as examples of terrorist groups and targets. In addition, learners gain insight into the importance of protecting private sector resources through awareness-level training. The last two lessons list various weapons of mass destruction (WMD), relay indicators of potential terrorist activity, and outline actions to be taken in the event of a potential terrorist attack.
